The 2016 Pennsylvania Boxing Hall of Fame induction ceremony will honor 16 people (8 living and 8 deceased) at Romano’s Caterer’s on Castor and Wingohocking Streets in Philadelphia. There are a record number of inductees this year with some very deserving names from the past. As a member of the VBA Ring One and the PABHOF committee it was great to see these boxing people get inducted this year.

From Old Timers George Chip, 42-17-4 (36), out of New Castle and Pittsburgh’s Harry “Peabody Paralyzer” Bobo, 36-9 (24), who are both deceased. Bobo held the “Duration” heavyweight championship (MD & OH) while Joe Louis served in the Army.
