  1. Ennis, Jones and Rock had such weak competition that I am afraid that if it doesn’t pick up those who follow all three will stop following them. I know Ennis has championship skills and in all cases you face whoever your manager or promoter put you in with BUT the time comes when the boxers has to say “put a live body in front of me and/or give me a guy with a winning record even if its 2-1.” The last fight Ennis had I do believe he broke the opponents nose here in Philly. Even viewing the first fight it looked ok. This time he may have used Ali’s “anchor punch” that only Angelo Dundee saw in his return with Liston. A body shot may have led to this. Rock’s opponent came in at 402# and should never been allowed to fight. He got hit good in the face/head so the ref may have looked at him and thought “you have a snow balls change in hell of winning this fight” and stopped it. Jones opponent having see the entire fight was at least one who looked like a boxer. When you are one or one of the best amateurs in the country you shouldn’t be fighting opponents with losing records unless they are better than the one’s with winning records. All three have talent and are very likeable and I only wish the best for them and not embarrass themselves.
